【Hiroshima Prefecture】Miyajima Delicacy -Congridae Eel Bento

Hiroshima is famous not only for its oysters, but also for the eel in Miyajima. So, after having eel dumplings earlier, it’s a must to have an eel bento for lunch on the train.

Before leaving Miyajima, I stopped by the famous Kamameshi restaurant, Hanabishi, and got a few bento boxes to enjoy later on the Shinkansen.

This is what they look like, priced at ¥1800 each.

It’s very simple, just one fresh eel, and a few slices of ginger.

In terms of the rice portion, there is also a principle of drizzling sauce. Overall, the taste of this bento is okay, but since it was just made, it is slightly warmer in temperature compared to the station bento I bought earlier.

Additional screening, the sea bass bento box purchased in 2010 is only ¥1050.

Just 2 whole anchovies

On the side, there is a fried fish bone and pickled vegetables. Due to the movement while taking the photo, it didn’t turn out well. However, the fish bone is quite delicious, with a crispy texture.

When it comes to food, if it’s cold, it’s not as delicious as the bento shop’s offerings~

Finally, Personal Food Rating: ★★★ (3).
I think that both of these bento boxes, I can only say that Hanabishi’s is really more delicious, but it is also more expensive (¥1800)~ If possible, it would be better to eat on-site~ As for the anago bento bought at Hiroshima Station, it is relatively cheaper (¥1050) but it’s not tasty when cold~ So for those who want to buy it, you should consider it…

Rating Criteria:
Five stars: Super delicious; after eating, you’ll want to find a place in Taiwan that sells it!
Four stars: Delicious; if you have the chance to go to Japan, you’ll want to buy it again.
Three stars: Not bad; it’s good to have tried it.
Two stars: Average; just wanted to taste the flavor, you can buy it.
One star: Won’t fall for it again (potential disappointment).
