【Hokkaido】Famous Sapporo Ramen – Keyaki

Before coming to Sapporo, Hokkaido, several friends recommended trying Keyaki Ramen.
A quick search online revealed numerous positive reviews, making it worth the anticipation.

On the first night in Sapporo, despite having already eaten at Nemuro Hanamaru Sushi and Gyoza no Ohsho, and feeling quite full, I still had to try this Keyaki Ramen. The sign at the entrance reads けやき(Keyaki). Just as I was about to take a photo, a couple rushed in ahead of me, making me wait almost ten minutes for a seat…

↓ Around 9:30 PM, there were still people in line (including me)

While waiting for a seat, I bought a meal ticket. I chose the special ramen.

My wife added a soft-boiled egg for ¥50.

I opted for the regular miso flavor, priced at ¥850.

The miso broth was unique, with a hint of vegetables, but it was also quite oily~

The noodles were incredibly chewy, probably the chewiest I’ve ever had.

The cabbage was also a notable feature.

Naturally, I finished the entire bowl~

This is a simple review of Keyaki Ramen

My personal rating: ★★★ (3)
Comments:
The ramen was a bit salty and oily…
Eating this ramen in the summer felt a bit too hot…
Even though it was only about 16 degrees Celsius in Sapporo at night, the small, crowded restaurant felt quite warm
Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend coming here in the summer~
(Maybe I’ll give it another try in the winter)
