Asia 49 Asian Cuisine and Lounge is located in the “Paiyang Building” (Mega 50) next to Banqiao Mega City. It is only a 5-10 minute walk from Banqiao Station or the MRT station. If you come directly from Mega City, there is a convenient connecting passage on the first floor that leads to the Paiyang Building. Since the Paiyang Building is mainly for commercial use, the elevators for visitors are separate from the commercial elevators. At the reception counter on the first floor, there will be staff members to inquire about the restaurant floor you wish to go to (the 48th floor is “Ding Ding Banquet Hall” and “Wangyue Building”, and the 50th floor is the highest buffet restaurant in the country, “50th Floor Café”).

Dining Environment at Asia 49
Located on the 49th floor of the tallest building in New Taipei City, the “Paiyang Building”, Asia 49 Asian Cuisine and Lounge has both indoor and outdoor dining areas. The indoor space is mainly lit with dim lights, creating a bar-like atmosphere. The outdoor area is a high-altitude garden where you can even see the stars when the weather is good. With its 360-degree view, as long as you reserve a window seat, you can enjoy the night view and delicious food at the same time. When making a reservation, you can pay extra attention to this (I remember that some restaurants do not allow reservations for outdoor dining areas).

Some indoor dining areas do not have window seats, so it is worth noting when making a reservation.
The outdoor area is divided into an observation platform and a canopy garden. When the weather is good, you can enjoy a view of Taipei 101 from the outdoor platform, which offers a great view. However, as this area is designed to be open-air, it will be temporarily closed in case of rain.

Because the weather was nice that day, you could see the stars just by looking up.

Most dishes are priced between 200-300 yuan, making it quite affordable. Most dishes at Asia 49 are shared dishes, with prices mostly around 300 yuan.
Because there were too many choices, we ended up choosing the “Feed Me” shared dish for two people, which consisted of 9 dishes. It was quite satisfying to eat, and we even had leftovers to take home. If you find it difficult to choose or if it’s your first time here, I recommend trying this option. Additionally, because it is a lounge, I heard that their cocktails are also impressive, but since I didn’t feel like drinking this time, I might try them next time if I have the chance.
The “Feed Me” shared dish for two people, which includes three starchy dishes, is quite filling.
Next, let’s move on to the introduction of each dish. Honestly, because the table wasn’t very big and the dishes were served quickly, by the time we reached the fourth dish, we were already quite full.

The shared dish option was quite filling for two people, and we even had leftovers to take home. If I have the chance to dine here again, I might try ordering individual dishes to try different cuisines.
