Kobe Cuisine – Affordable Kobe Steak – Plaisir

This Kobe steak restaurant, Plaisir, is a direct-operated restaurant of JA Zennoh Hyogo (JA is the abbreviation for Japan Agricultural Cooperatives, also known as Nokyo). In other words, here you can guarantee that you will be able to eat beef that is locally grown in Japan… And not only beef, even the rice and salad you eat are locally produced! This restaurant is located on the first floor of a certain hotel and looks like this from the outside.

At the entrance, there is a small sign that says “Kobe Beef, captivating taste buds from around the world” (This is a loose translation).

Before entering, you can see many restaurant advertisements on the side.

The restaurant is located on the first floor, next to the escalator.

There is a menu at the entrance, and here it is divided into three dining options: teppanyaki, steamed, and hot pot.
I had the teppanyaki Set A.
The teppanyaki here also has Set A, B, and C.
The price of Set A is ¥3150, which includes 80g of Kobe beef, as well as side dishes, appetizer soup, salad, vegetables, miso soup, fried rice, dessert, and drinks…
There are so many things that it’s endless.

Please come in and take a seat, there are only about 10 seats available…
So, it’s better to come early if possible~ If you can, it’s recommended to make a reservation in advance~
(I don’t speak Japanese and I don’t help with reservations)

On the table is a scarf.
Before eating, there will be staff members to help put on the scarf.

Chopsticks, with both ends pointed, are probably meant for eating salad with one end and steak with the other.

Menu, but everyone chooses the same thing, unless someone doesn’t eat beef, then there are other options available.

This is a salad with surf clams, and the texture is really good~
They are super chewy and there are also lilies in it, which taste delicious.

Another one is pineapple, tomato, raw fish slices… and a bunch of vegetables with amazing seasoning.

The ginger soda drink I ordered, however, this is not included in the set meal.

Before the soup, I thought it was pumpkin soup, but after asking, it seems to be potato soup~
Anyway, I still forgot what kind of soup it is XD

Looking at the chef’s focused expression.

At this time, the two plates in front are for dipping vegetables, while the three plates at the back are for dipping meat.

The chef is carefully preparing scallops (definitely not mine).

Next, the Kobe steak is served.
This is a portion for four people, with two types of meat. One is the “momo”, which is the beef hind leg meat, and the other is the “ranpu”, which is similar to the beef loin meat.

Although the steak is right in front of us, let’s have a taste of the salad first.
All the wild vegetables on this plate are locally sourced from Hyogo Prefecture.
Although I once thought I was a carnivore, this salad is actually quite delicious!
The food and beverage industry in Taiwan really needs to keep up the good work~

At this moment, it’s still fascinating to watch the chef frying the fish.

The wild vegetables next to it, this is what I will be eating later.

Steak is starting to sizzle~

The chef is seasoning, but unfortunately my SD card is full at this moment… XD

The sound of sizzling, it’s amazing!

The chef asked us how well-done we wanted the dish to be before frying it.
We asked the chef in return, “In your opinion, what is the best level of doneness?”
The chef replied, “Slightly cooked, and it will be delicious.”
So, in the end, we asked the chef to handle it according to his idea of the most delicious level…

Deng Leng~ Kobe beef is now on the scene. This is the momo.
I remember its texture, a bit chewy and resilient, but once you take a bite, the juices burst out…
It’s super delicious! It tastes great even without dipping sauce.
And the garlic slices on the side…

Next, another type of beef is here~
It’s also amazing, with more juice and a softer and tender texture.

Actually, I wanted to focus on the front “momo” but ended up focusing on the back “ranpu”.

This is the full portion~
Of course, I had already eaten a piece of momo and ranpu each beforehand
(of course, it’s best to eat them while they’re still hot~).

Other vegetables are also delicious.
Onions are really sweet… Potatoes and eggplants are also tasty.

This is vegetable juice, somewhat resembling the taste of stone lotus…

Finally, there are two options for rice: plain rice and fried rice (garlic fried rice).
We all chose fried rice.

Every person gets a small bowl of this rice, and it’s really delicious…

The side dish that can be paired with rice is here.

Miso Soup

After finishing the whole meal, although I didn’t feel very full, I was about 80% satisfied.
Then they invited us to another lounge to enjoy some snacks and drinks.

Desserts are the cherry-flavored ice cream.
However, there are options for drinks such as black tea and coffee, but I forgot to take a picture… XD

Above is a delicious Kobe steak food diary~
For those who don’t eat beef, there is also a seafood teppanyaki option, where the beef is replaced with scallops and fresh fish. The price is not specified.
If you are interested, you may consider it…
