Komeda Coffee is a well-known local chain coffee shop in Nagoya. It has expanded to various locations throughout Japan and recently opened branches in Taiwan. When visiting Nagoya, it is a must to check out this restaurant. The restaurant we dined at this time was Meitetsu Inn Nagoya Sakuradori branch.
In Chinese, コメダ is translated as 米田, but in Taiwan it is called “客美多” according to the official name. So, the snacks shown in the picture below are called “客美多名物” in Taiwan.
The menu is posted at the entrance…
Upon entering, the waiter immediately provided a hot towel and menu.
Icy Water
Hot towels, all with the pattern of rice fields.
Shironoir ¥590
Shiro means “white” in Japanese, and Noir is “black” in French. The ice cream on top is white, and the Danish bread below is black.
I ordered a honeydew soda with ice cream for 480 yuan.
Coffee Milk ¥380
Iced Coffee ¥480
The total amount for the above items is ¥1930.
Forgot to take a picture of the syrup, so the syrup has already dripped down.
The side of Danish bread has a bit of a feeling like puff pastry.
The bread is cold, with a slightly crispy crust and a fluffy yet not soft interior…. It has a rather unique texture~ And when the ice cream melts and combines with the taste of syrup, it becomes so sweet… Although I don’t usually enjoy desserts, at that moment, I couldn’t resist wanting another piece…
This peanut seems to be a gift, and it’s quite tasty to have one pack per person.
Above is a brief introduction to Komeda Coffee, a famous coffee shop in the Nagoya area.
In addition, let me explain that this is a manhole cover on the streets of Nagoya… The design on this manhole cover commemorates the 1989 Nagoya Design Expo, which marked the 100th anniversary of Nagoya City. From left to right, the small circles represent Nagoya Port, Atsuta Shrine, Nagoya Castle and TV Tower, Higashiyama Zoo, and the International Conference Center. The arrangement roughly corresponds to the locations within Nagoya City.
Fire hydrant, it can be seen that it is Nagoya Castle, and the other should be the golden orca on the castle. However, why does it look a bit like a dragon…
The store I visited is Meitetsu Inn Nagoya Sakuradori Store. Opening hours: 07:00~22:00 (open all year round). As Komeda Coffee has many branches in Nagoya, I won’t provide a map.
