【Aomori Prefecture】Accommodation at Lake Towada – Lakeside Hot Springs at Lake Towada – Hotel Towadaso

Lake Towada is a volcanic lake that spans Aomori and Akita prefectures. As a result, the area is rich in hot spring resources. Towadaso is a hotel business in the Lake Towada region, offering a variety of accommodations.

At the entrance, there are Yawata uma.
It is said that Yawata uma are one of Japan’s ancient local toys, with a history of about 700 years.
The picture also mentions the Three Horses of Japan, which are: Yawata uma in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, Kinoshita koma in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, and Miharu koma in Miharu Machi, Fukushima Prefecture.

Inside the hotel, there is even a small-scale “nebuta” float.

Let’s take a look at what the hotel room looks like.
The entrance of the one we stayed in is quite unique, with wooden door decorations.

Of course, a regular door is used inside.

Upon entering, you can see the appearance of the room.

The entrance is small, with the bathroom and toilet next to it.

The bathroom and toilet are separate.

Restroom

Bathroom

Washbasin

The room is a traditional Japanese-style room and it’s really spacious… In other places, you can only stay in small rooms.

Television

Table

There are tables and chairs here, and I like using my computer here while enjoying the view beside me.

【Dinner】
Tonight’s dining location is in a private booth.

I love eating this kind of banquet cuisine the most~ It’s abundant, delicate, and delicious.

Everyone has so many things.

Yam puree

Sashimi

This is Konjac + eel.

It’s a bit like pickled Arrowhead Bamboo shoot.

Grapefruit

Other Pickles

I forgot to take a bite of this little roll and just ate it straight away~ After finishing it, I felt regretful~ Because it was so delicious~ XD

This is a small sukiyaki hot pot.

The abalone Teppanyaki is really delicious.
I think abalone prepared in this way is incredibly tasty.

This is somewhat like Akashiyaki, which I remember as not being bad, but it was overshadowed by the abalone.

Char siu is a rather unique cooking method that seems to simply involve cooking and adding sauce.
However, it doesn’t have the same strong porky taste as Taiwanese pork.

Squid and shrimp sushi

Finally, there is a bowl of delicious white rice.

After finishing the meal, they unexpectedly brought a bowl of buckwheat noodles.

I feel like I haven’t had buckwheat noodles in a long time~

【Breakfast】
The breakfast here is self-service.

There are staff members assisting in the middle, and it is rare to see this kind of breakfast arrangement even in five-star hotels.

On both sides of breakfast, there are spacious dining areas~

This is probably the largest breakfast venue I have ever seen in all the hotels I have stayed at.

Finally, I took these.
As usual, I don’t eat much for breakfast.
However, I would like to recommend their fried noodles, which are quite delicious.
If I weren’t already full, I would have wanted another plate!

Above is the hotel where I stayed during the first day of the visit.
As for the hot springs, I didn’t have the chance to soak in them because I brought work with me and had to rush in Aomori. T_T
