【Hokkaido】Breakfast at the Captain’s House and the Umi No Ichi (Closed)

Barely digested last night’s dinner, and it’s already time for breakfast~ It’s really overwhelming
This post will not only introduce the breakfast at the guesthouse but also the nearby seafood market – Umi No Ichi.

Breakfast is just as lavish.

Hokkaido milk, the only time I had milk on this trip.

Quite a unique taste, seems like taro konjac.

This one I could manage.

This one was also okay.

This one, I couldn’t handle.
Because squid sashimi left out for over 30 minutes without being chilled is not my thing….

Not too salty pickles.

Extremely salty pickled item, probably called “塩辛いか”.

A whole fish, which is a pity~ because I prefer grilled flatfish.

This shellfish salad, the fried shellfish texture is similar to Mie Prefecture’s pearl oysters, quite tasty

This one is also extremely salty pickled item.

Green onion tamagoyaki.

Mentaiko, I not a fan of this flavor.
Next to it is stewed seaweed? Or seaweed paste?

Oyster soup, this one is super rich, almost had a flare-up after eating it~

Scallop miso soup, this one is also super nourishing~
Gout flare-up level 80% !

You can see small scallop meat.

Sorry, I couldn’t finish it~
Because I was really too full~
I only finished the delicious ones~

After breakfast, I took a stroll to the nearby market

This market is super small, I suspect there’s only one store.

Not sure what kind of fish this is, 3 for ¥1200, quite cheap.

Red king crab, still as expensive as ever.

¥100 per skewer, that’s crazy~
This skewer, could it actually mean one crab?

Time to leave, some ladies were shopping enthusiastically.
Looks like they plan to take it home….
(If it were vacuum-packed, I’d want to take some grilled flatfish too)

That’s the situation with breakfast at the Captain’s House and the nearby small morning market – Umi No Ichi….
People with gout, please be sure to prepare all your medicines before coming, otherwise a gout attack will be very painful… XD
