So cute it’s criminal! This year, the new Bitan Scenic Area has launched a brand new landscape art installation, in collaboration with Sanrio. Popular characters like Hello Kitty, Melody, Cinnamoroll, and Gudetama are all making an appearance in the new theme “SANRIO Colorful Bitan”, which will be on display for 59 days free of charge. The lights have officially been turned on, so hurry up and invite your friends and family to come and take pictures at the new Bitan Scenic Area.

The 2021 light sculpture show featuring adorable characters floating on the river sparked much discussion, and this year’s “SANRIO Colorful Bitan” is even more spectacular! Five major Sanrio stars, including Hello Kitty, Melody, Cinnamoroll, Gudetama, and Pompompurin, have all transformed into sketching artists scattered along the riverbank. Among them, Hello Kitty, standing at a whopping 13 meters tall, is truly an eye-catcher.

Not only that, there are now photo-op installations featuring line-drawn characters like Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll, and Melody with their oversized heads, waiting for fans to take pictures with! Every Sunday, there’s a “Farmers Market” at the Bitan East Square, making for a fun experience as you shop and snap photos.

The superstar characters of Sanrio have transformed into plein air artists, offering a spectacular and eye-catching sight during the day, and an even more magical view when the lights come on at night. The “SANRIO Colorful Bitan” event is only here for three months, so make sure you don’t miss out!
