Xiangshan includes Chaoran Pavilion, Six Giant Stones, and other locations. Because of its excellent view, you can overlook the night view of Taipei City and the Taipei landmark 101 from a high place. Almost every weekend at dusk, Xiangshan is crowded with visitors who come to appreciate the night view. If you want to take night photos, it’s even harder to find a good angle if you don’t go up the mountain early. This year, with the completion of the Nanshan Plaza building next to Taipei 101, it presents a different appearance than before.

Xinyi Road Overpass Night View
If you find it troublesome to climb Xiangshan to see the night view (or if you’re not physically fit), there is also a good place nearby where you can have a panoramic view of Taipei 101. The Xinyi Road Overpass, located at the intersection of Taipei Keelung Road and Xinyi Road, is a spot where you can capture both Taipei 101 and the railway tracks in the night view. However, because the traffic lights here have longer durations, photography enthusiasts who come here to take night photos need to use neutral density filters appropriately to avoid overexposure of Taipei 101.

Take the MRT Danshui-Xinyi Line to Taipei 101/World Trade Center Station Exit 1, and go to the intersection of Keelung Road and Xinyi Road.
Taipei 101 Observatory Night View
If you want to enjoy Taipei’s night view from a different perspective, then go to the Taipei 101 Observatory! The Taipei 101 Observatory is located on the 89th floor of Taipei 101, where you can overlook the Taipei night view from a high place. In addition, you can also go to the outdoor observatory on the 91st floor, where you can directly admire the beauty of Taipei night without any obstructions. It is on par with night views abroad!

Da’an Forest Park Station Night View
Kaohsiung MRT has the famous “Dome of Light” at Formosa Boulevard Station, and Taipei MRT also has the internationally renowned “Da’an Forest Park Station”, which has won the “FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards” first prize in the architectural field. Da’an Forest Park Station is one of the most distinctive architectural stations in Taipei MRT. The station integrates with the park, with a sunken courtyard design and large glass floor-to-ceiling windows, which are already very distinctive during the day. After lighting up at night, it becomes even more eye-catching. With the timed water show here, it is a great place for couples to take a walk after dinner at night.

Songshan Rainbow Bridge Night View
Songshan’s Rainbow Bridge is one of the attractions that many families or couples visit after visiting Raohe Night Market. The bridge is designed in bright red and connects Songshan and Neihu. The bridge itself has a curved design, and at night it is accompanied by different colors of lights such as red, green, and blue, adding to the beauty of the Rainbow Bridge at night. In addition, because this is also a favorite spot for many couples, there is a landscape design of the word “LOVE” on the riverside on the Songshan side. It is highly recommended as one of the night view spots in Taipei.

Neihu Bishanyan Night View
The night view of Bishanyan in Neihu is also a well-known night view spot in Taipei, where you can overlook the entire Taipei night view from a distance. The best place to take photos and appreciate the Taipei night view in Bishanyan is the observation platform inside the Kaizhang Shengwang Temple in Bishanyan. By using a telephoto lens to compress the perspective, you can capture beautiful Taipei night views. This time, I went to Bishanyan in the evening on a weekday, and the visibility was very good, so I was able to take clear photos of Taipei’s night view. If it’s a weekend, there will be more tourists, so friends who drive should pay attention to whether there are enough parking spaces in front of the temple.

Banqiao New Moon Bridge Night View
The New Moon Bridge in Banqiao is a steel arch bridge that spans the Dahan River, connecting Xinzhuang and Banqiao. It is currently the longest double-span bridge in Taiwan. In addition to the pedestrian walkway, there is also a bicycle lane and a rest area on the New Moon Bridge. There is also a 60-meter-long transparent skywalk, making it a great place near Taipei to spend some time. The New Moon Bridge at night is also accompanied by a light show. In addition, during the New Year’s New Taipei City Christmasland, many Christmas lights are added to the New Banqiao Special Zone.
