[Hsinchu] 2013 Hsinchu National Day Fireworks

This year’s National Day fireworks were held in Hsinchu City. In addition to a series of events, including a surrounding fair and a pre-show fireworks display, the main attraction was the National Day fireworks on the day itself. The event was set at the Nanliao Fishing Harbor, away from the city center, to create a maritime fireworks experience.

The fireworks show was divided into ten themes and lasted for 40 minutes. Compared to last year’s National Day fireworks in Miaoli, I found this year’s display to be more spectacular. However, due to venue constraints, the fireworks were spread over a wider area, requiring constant tripod adjustments to capture the best angles.

One downside of the event was the dispersal plan. With only a few dozen shuttle buses and a lack of proper guidance and personnel, it took over three hours for the crowd to disperse.
