Higashimuki Shopping Street, this street is often overlooked because it is very close to the Kintetsu Nara Station. However, if you are heading to places like Kofuku-ji Temple or Nara Machi from the Kintetsu Station, you will pass by it. But if you’re looking for shopping options in Nara, I think this is the place to go.
After exiting the Kintetsu station and reaching the first floor, you will pass by a water pool, and there you will find the Higashimuki Shopping Street.
The shopping streets here are all covered with canopies, and I happened to come across this deer antler sawing activity…
This shopping street stretches from Omiya-dori Street (near Kintetsu Nara) all the way to Sanjo-dori Street.
The shops here are quite complete, but there aren’t many of them~
They also sell Breathable Chocolate here.
There is also a product called “Deer Droppings” (Japanese: 鹿のふん) being sold, and it is a specialty of Nara. However, of course, this is not real deer droppings, but it is named after it for a pun…
This is Daiso, a hundred-yen store, with business so good that bicycles are parked everywhere. I think this store has a lot of great items to buy…
After walking to Sanjo-dori Street, there is a shop selling small items here, and the whole store smells so good…
It feels like something that only girls would buy~
Oil-absorbing paper
Here, they also sell fans, handkerchiefs, and similar items.
Here is an introduction to the manufacturing process of gold foil~
After frying, it becomes so thin~
Above is a brief introduction to Higashimuki Shopping Street. I usually come here to eat (Genkishin Ramen, Nakatanidou, Mentouan Udon, Okaru) and then take a stroll at Daiso.
