Popular Kyoto Canvas Bag Stores – Ichizawa Hanpu、Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu

Ichizawa Hanpu has been famous for a long time, but due to a family split incident, it has declined a bit and became two different brands, Ichizawa Hanpu and Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu. Now they are back together, operating under the name Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu.

From the Higashi Oji Dori Street in front of Yasaka Shrine, just keep walking north and you will see it~ There is a big “Canvas Bag”（Japanese: 布包） sign at the entrance.

The mailbox next to the entrance is also very unique, huh~

When you enter, you can see the decoration at the entrance. It’s quite unique.

However, I have no interest in shopping or going shopping.

Last time I came, I just wandered around and didn’t dare to take random photos~ But this time, I can openly and boldly take pictures~

In addition to the first floor, the second floor also has many canvas bags.

The store has a wide variety of bags, mainly focusing on “Ichizawa Hanpu” and “Ichizawa Shinzaburo Hanpu”. As for the difference between the two, I am not sure.

It has a slightly retro yet fashionable feel.

The author had a positive flying experience with Japan Airlines (JAL) in 2015 and chose to fly with them again for a trip to Tokyo. The flights were on a B767-300ER aircraft with JAL’s “JAL SKY SUITE” cabin, which provided a comfortable experience in both business and economy class.
