Summary
The cherry blossoms on Pingjing Street, Pingdeng Village, Yangmingshan, Taipei, are blooming as usual before and after the Spring Festival, heralding the beginning of the cherry blossom season. Because the lunar New Year is later this year, I unconsciously forgot that it is already the early cherry blossom season. In recent years, the early cherry blossoms in Taipei have been particularly popular in Pingdeng Village, Yangmingshan. Upon hearing the news that the cherry blossoms have bloomed nearly 70%, I took advantage of the good weather on the holiday and went to Pingdeng Village early in the morning to photograph the cherry blossoms. Compared to the same period last year, the flower condition this year is also quite good, with nearly 80% of the cherry blossoms in bloom, and some have even started to wither. This week should be the last period for viewing the flowers.
Perhaps because of its recent fame and convenient transportation, even though I arrived after 8 o’clock in the morning, there was still a considerable crowd of people enjoying the cherry blossoms. Taking photos early in the morning not only ensures better weather, but also allows the sunlight to create a more transparent light and shadow effect on the flowers.
Using a macro lens to photograph the cherry blossoms can create a charming bokeh effect.
Incorporating the fence into the composition can better depict the shooting environment.
Many people tend to avoid the utility poles when taking photos, but in this picture, they serve as visual guides.
This year, I took more photos with a wide-angle lens, highlighting the beautiful scenery of the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
