There is a song called “Tsugaru Kaikyo Winter Scenery”, so let’s have an article about “Oirase Gorge Winter Scenery”. Aomori’s Oirase Gorge is very popular in summer and autumn. In summer, it’s very comfortable to ride a bicycle here. This time, coming in winter, you can enjoy scenery that is not often seen.
This is an ice waterfall.
Under normal temperature conditions, it is a waterfall.
However, when the weather remains cold, it gradually freezes and becomes an ice waterfall.
This ice waterfall doesn’t have a name, it’s just a beautiful sight along the way to Lake Towada.
This ice waterfall is not tall, but it is quite wide.
This ice waterfall feels like it has a gradient, with each ice column in a different position.
Unfortunately, when we were taking photos here, it kept snowing, so we couldn’t capture the pristine beauty of the ice waterfall….>”<
This is the Kumoi no Taki Waterfall, which is 20 meters high, but it is still not as spectacular as the ice waterfall ahead.
This is the Choshio Falls, and it’s clear that it hasn’t completely frozen yet.
However, since I couldn’t find a way to go down and shoot, I had to zoom in and take photos by the roadside.
Next up is the forest of Oirase Gorge.
I would love to come back another day and set up a tripod to take photos by the frozen stream.
This composition is really poor.
Speaking of which, why did I take this photo?
Because I feel that this thick pile of snow resembles a fruit mille-feuille…
Occasionally get off the car and take a walk, to feel the chill brought by the cold air.
I can’t see the road at all.
Above is the winter scenery of Oirase Gorge. It’s surprising how beautiful it is even in winter, considering that Oirase Gorge is famous for its scenic beauty. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back to see it again.
